Why can't they all just be the same

So may common elements between these, yet they're all so different looking. *sigh*

Google's nav bars

I'm not even including Picasa, Earth, Wave, Desktop...

    The lack of the same navbar in calendars is a bit clear to me, but you're right, there should be a more standardized navbar that these all have. At least a similar looking one. Even if all the elements are different. I prefer the Google Reader Navbar or the Google Mail Navbar. But that's just me.
